AzerothGPS

Getting Started

Install#

  1. Grab AzerothGPS first. StreetView needs it, and a recent one: the game's levels need AzerothGPS 1.1 or newer.
  2. Install AzerothGPS StreetView from CurseForge, or unzip it into World of Warcraft\_classic_beta_\Interface\AddOns. The CurseForge app also brings AzerothGPS and the four picture packs (about 1.2 GB in all) along with it.
  3. Installing by hand? Get the four picture packs too and unzip them the same way: AzerothGPS StreetView Eastern Kingdoms North, Eastern Kingdoms South, Kalimdor North and Kalimdor South. They're downloads of their own so StreetView's updates stay small, and they update only when new street views come out. Missing one? StreetView shows a note saying which, and where to get it.
  4. Log out and back in (or restart WoW). New picture files don't load on a /reload.

Your first look around#

  1. Open the AzerothGPS map.
  2. Drag the little figure (it sits next to the map's buttons) onto the map. The roads light up, the one under your pointer brightest, and the street views show up as dots.
  3. Drop it on a road and the nearest street view opens in its own window.

Just want to see where you're standing? Click the figure (or type /sv here) for the street view nearest you.

Your first game#

  1. Click the Where in the Azeroth? button above the figure.
  2. Pick Solo, then Solo again (or Against Bots if you want some company), a level (Normal is a good start) and 1, 3 or 5 rounds.
  3. A street view opens. Look around, then double-click the map where you think it is.
  4. When the 30 seconds are up, the map shows you the real spot and how many points you got.

The rules are on Where in the Azeroth?, and Multiplayer covers playing with friends.
